Preserving History and Inspiring the Future in Clallam Bay, Washington
Built in 1904, Slip Point Lighthouse once cast its beam across the Strait of Juan de Fuca, guiding mariners past rugged shores and rocky shoals. Its light, its foghorn, and its keepers stood watch for nearly a century—until automation silenced the signal in 2000. Today, the Clallam Bay–Slip Point Lighthouse Keepers carry that legacy forward. We’re restoring the 1905 Craftsman-style keeper’s duplex and companion structures, preserving the stories etched into every board and beam.
Our vision is to see these grounds renewed as a place of gathering and remembrance—a public park where history, nature, and community meet, and where visitors can once again feel the spirit of the light that guided so many.
